People often ask me what I’m “working on these days,” and the truth is… a little bit of everything.
I’m a storyteller, a builder, a mental health advocate, and, depending on the day, a web designer, editor, marketer, or coffee-powered dream engineer.
But at the heart of it all, I’m trying to create a place where people can feel seen, heard, and healed — whether through words, stories, podcasts, or even a Roku channel.
What I’m Building
Right now, my hands (and heart) are full with:
MTE TV (Mental Therapy Experience): a 24/7 Roku channel built to bring healing, heart, and humor to your screen — because mental health doesn’t have to be heavy to matter.
My Talking Eye: my blog, podcast, and personal storytelling space. It’s where I mix real talk, hope, and a little sarcasm to help people feel less alone.
The Still Here Series: my grief-centered book collection that helps people walk with loss without losing themselves. Each book reminds readers that being “still here” is something worth celebrating.
The Veridien Saga: a fantasy series about balance, courage, and purpose — because even in make-believe worlds, healing is real.
Everything connects. It’s one big, messy, meaningful ecosystem built around mental wellness, storytelling, and hope.
Why I Do It
Because grief nearly broke me.
After losing my daughter Lilly — on my birthday in 2011, no less — I spent years trying to breathe again. Writing, creating, and talking honestly about it all became the only way I could survive.
This is my legacy for Lilly's daughter. She had lost both parents by the age of twelve years old. She grieved for a long time and her pain was too much to bear.
Now, I want to help others do the same.
To show that healing isn’t about “getting over it.” It’s about living through it — with purpose, humor, and heart.
How You Can Help
Honestly? It takes a village to build something like this. If my work has touched you in any way, or if you just believe in what I’m trying to do, here are a few simple ways to help me keep the lights on — literally and spiritually:
Share my work. Every blog share, podcast listen, or book review helps me reach one more hurting heart.
Donate to MTE TV. Your contribution helps cover editing, hosting, and production costs so I can keep creating meaningful, mental-health-centered content.
Buy a book or product. Each sale funds future projects and gives you something beautiful in return — win-win.
Invite me to speak or collaborate. I love working with others who care about emotional wellness, storytelling, or creative healing.
Simply tell someone. If you know a friend struggling with grief or purpose, tell them about My Talking Eye or MTE TV. Sometimes, that small act of kindness makes all the difference.
Why It Matters
The truth is, purpose-driven work doesn’t always come with a paycheck. But it comes with meaning — and that’s worth everything.
Still, meaning alone doesn’t pay for microphones, book printing, or server space. Your support — in any form — helps me keep telling stories that heal hearts.
A Note from Dinky
My books — including Still Here: Living With Grief and Learning to Breathe Again and The Veridien Saga — are still in the works, lovingly written one chapter and one heartbeat at a time. These projects take time, care, and a lot of coffee.
If you’d like to support this mission, you can donate to help fund ongoing writing, editing, and production costs, or — even better — become an author in the upcoming Still Here Anthology: Voices After Loss.
Your contribution helps bring more voices, more healing, and more hope into the world. Every donation and story shared keeps this light shining a little brighter.
✨ Thank you for believing in what we’re building — and for helping make sure the words keep flowing.
Donate or Join the Anthology from the menu above.
Final Thought
If you’ve ever felt broken, lost, or unsure how to start again — you’re my kind of person.
I’m still here, still building, still believing.
And with your help, maybe we can make “still here” mean something even bigger.
